Transmission Control Lever Knob Replacement

Callout Component Name
1 Shift Control Knob Boot
Procedure 
  1. Depress the sides of the boot in order to release the boot from the instrument panel (I/P) lower brace bezel.
  2. Lift the boot up in order to access the shift control knob screw.
2 Shift Control Knob Screw
CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .

Procedure 
Loosen the shift control knob screw approximately 4-5 turns. It is not necessary to fully remove the screw from the shift control knob.
Tightening torque 
1.5 N.m (13 lb in). 
3 Shift Control Knob
Procedure 
Remove the shift control boot if replacing the knob. Refer to TRANSMISSION CONTROL LEVER BOOT REPLACEMENT .
