Circuit/System Verification

Measure and record the voltage at the battery terminals with the engine OFF, and again with the engine running. Verify that the battery voltage is 11-13 volts with the engine OFF and 13- 16 volts with the engine running.
- If not within the specified range, refer to CHARGING SYSTEM TEST .
Observe the scan tool BCM Battery Voltage parameter, and the Batt. Voltage High Res. parameter. The scan tool parameters should be within 2 volts of each other, and within 2 volts of the battery voltage measured in the previous step.
- If not within the specified range, refer to CIRCUIT/SYSTEM TESTING .
