Installation Procedure

Install the thermostat with a NEW thermostat seal.
CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
Install the thermostat housing bolts.
Tightening torque

Tighten the thermostat housing bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
Install the heater inlet and outlet pipes. Refer to HEATER INLET PIPE REPLACEMENT and HEATER OUTLET PIPE REPLACEMENT .
Fill the cooling system. Refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING AND FILLING (LY7 GE 47716 FILL) or COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING AND FILLING (LY7 STATIC FILL) .
