Front Suspension Frame, Stabilizer Bar and/or Bush Removal and Installation (2WD Model): Removal
- Disconnect negative (-) cable at battery.
- Remove air cleaner assembly referring to AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove hood referring to HOOD REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- For hydraulic P/S model, take out fluid in P/S fluid reservoir with syringe or such.
- Disconnect steering lower shaft from pinion shaft referring to STEERING LOWER SHAFT REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Hoist vehicle and remove front wheels.
- Remove exhaust No. 1, No. 2 and center pipes referring to EXHAUST SYSTEM COMPONENTS .
- Remove suspension control arms and disconnect stabilizer joints.
- Disconnect tie-rod end from steering knuckle referring to TIE-ROD END REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (HYDRAULIC TYPE) .
- For hydraulic P/S model, disconnect high pressure pipe and low pressure return hose referring to P/S PUMP REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (HYDRAULIC TYPE) .
- For electric P/S model, disconnect torque sensor connector and P/S motor connector from steering gear case referring to STEERING GEAR CASE ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (ELECTRIC TYPE) .
- Support engine assembly by using chain hoist (1).
- Support front suspension frame (2) with mission jack (1).
- Remove engine rear mounting, mounting member bolt and front suspension frame mounting bolts (1).
- Lower front suspension frame and steering gear case.
- Remove steering gear case assembly from front suspension frame.
- Remove stabilizer bar (1) with bush from suspension frame (2).
