Power Balance Test

  1. With ignition switch turned off, connect SUZUKI scan tool to DLC (1).

    Special Tool

  2. Clear DTC, see DTC CLEARANCE .
  3. Warm up engine to normal operating temperature.
  4. Run engine at specified idle speed, and then select "Active Test" mode on scan tool.
  5. Turn off each fuel injector, using SUZUKI scan tool.
  6. With each fuel injector turned off, confirm that engine speed falls lower than specified idle speed.
  7. When engine speed doesn't fall the same speed with each cylinder, check fuel injector circuit, see Fuel Injector Circuit Check .
