Water Pump Removal and Installation: Removal

Disconnect negative cable from battery.
Drain coolant. See COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING .
Remove reservoir (1).

Remove accessory drive belt. See ACCESSORY DRIVE BELT REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Remove water pump pulley (1).
Special Tool

(A): Water pump pulley holding tool (EN-46104)

Remove water pump assembly (1) and gasket (2) from cylinder block.
