Water Pump Removal and Installation: Installation

Clean mating surfaces of water pump assembly and timing chain cover.
Install new gasket (2) to timing chain cover.
Install water pump assembly (1) to timing chain cover and tighten bolts to specified torque.
Tightening torque

Water pump bolt (a): 10 N.m (1.0 kg-m, 7.5 lbf-ft)

Install water pump pulley (1) and tighten bolts to specified torque.
Special Tool

(A): Water pump pulley holding tool (EN-46104)

Tightening torque

Water pump pulley bolt (a): 12 N.m (1.2 kg-m, 9.0 lbf-ft)

Install accessory drive belt. See ACCESSORY DRIVE BELT REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Install reservoir (1).
