Fuel Filler Cap: Testing and Inspection
Fuel Filler Cap InspectionWARNING:
- When performing the following procedure, be sure to observe Precautions for Fuel System Service to reduce the risk of fire and personal injury.
- If cap requires replacement, only a cap with the same features should be used. Failure to use correct cap can result in fire and personal injury.
Remove cap (1), and check gasket (2) for even filler neck imprint, and deterioration or any damage. If gasket is defective, replace cap.
