EVAP Canister Removal and Installation

Removal

1. Disconnect negative cable from battery.
2. Hoist vehicle.
3. Disconnect EVAP canister wire connector (1).






4. Disconnect pipes (1).
For quick joint (2) of pipe, disconnect them as follows:
a. Remove mud or rust around joint by blowing compressed air, and push joint fully in arrow direction.
b. Disconnect pipe joint while joint lock is unlocked pushing both sides of joint to unlock it.

5. Remove EVAP canister, EVAP canister vent solenoid valve, EVAP canister air suction filter and its bracket (3) from vehicle.






6. Remove EVAP canister air suction filter (1) and pipes (2) together from bracket (3).






7. Remove EVAP canister wire (1) and pipes (2) from EVAP canister.






8. Remove EVAP canister from bracket (2).






Installation

For installation, reverse removal procedure noting the following.
- When installing pipes, do not apply soap, grease or oil to insertion part.
- For quick joint, push joint into pipe till joint lock clicks and check that quick joint does not disengage by pulling quick joint in arrow direction.
