Diagnosis Procedure

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE CHART

Step Action YES NO
1  CHECK INTAKE AIR LEAK 
  1. Start engine and let it idle.
  2. Listen for an intake air leak after the mass air flow sensor.

OK or NG 		 GO TO 2. Discover air leak location and repair.
2  REPLACE ECM 
  1. Stop engine.
  2. Replace ECM.
  3. Perform initialization of immobilizer system and registration of all immobilizer system ignition key IDs. Refer to "Procedure After Replacing ECM" in [PROCEDURE AFTER REPLACING ECM ].
  4. Perform "VIN Registration" in [PROCEDURE AFTER REPLACING ECM ].
  5. Perform "Accelerator Pedal Released Position Learning" in [PROCEDURE AFTER REPLACING ECM ].
  6. Perform "Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning" in [PROCEDURE AFTER REPLACING ECM ].
  7. Perform "Idle Air Volume Learning" in [PROCEDURE AFTER REPLACING ECM ].
