DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

1	CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION LINE Perform "DTC check". Refer to [SDT FUNCTION (AT) ]. Is a malfunction in the CAN communication indicated in the results?	Check CAN communication line. Refer to DTC U1000 CAN COMMUNICATION LINE .	GO TO 2.
2	CHECK DTC WITH TCM With SDT Start engine. Select "ECU INPUT SIGNALS" in "Data list" mode for "AT" with SDT. While monitoring engine speed, check for engine speed change corresponding to wide - open throttle position signal. Is the inspection result normal?	GO TO 3.	Check the ignition signal circuit.
2		GO TO 3.	Refer to [IGNITION SIGNAL CIRCUIT CHECK ] (QR25DE) or [IGNITION SIGNAL CIRCUIT CHECK ] (VQ40DE).
3	CHECK DTC Perform "DTC Confirmation Procedure". Refer to [DTC P0725 ENGINE SPEED SIGNAL ]. Is the inspection result normal?	INSPECTION END	GO TO 4.
4	CHECK TCM POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT Check TCM power supply and ground circuit. Refer to [MAIN POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT CHECK ]. Is the inspection result normal?	GO TO 5.	Repair or replace damaged parts.
5	DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM Check the following. The A/T assembly harness connector pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector. Is the inspection result normal?	Replace the control valve with TCM. Refer to [CONTROL VALVE WITH TCM AND A/T FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR 2: ON-VEHICLE REPAIR ].	Repair or replace damaged parts.
