ATEQ TPMS Reset Procedure

NOTE: The tire pressure sensor must be undergo the learn procedure, after a tire rotation, or after a tire pressure sensor or RCDLR replacement.
NOTE: When the low tire pressure indicator illuminates and warning message appears on DIC (if equipped), check air pressure of all tires and adjust to the specified pressure.
NOTE: The DIC will display the "SERVICE TIRE MONITOR" message if one or more of the tire pressure sensors has malfunctioned or if all of the sensors have not been programmed successfully. If warning indicators are still on, there is a problem in the TPMS. See appropriate manufacturer service information.
NOTE: If using the keyless entry transmitter or DIC buttons to enable the learn mode, the TPMS3 Tool may be used. Before proceeding with this method, ensure that no other learn procedure is being performed simultaneously or that tire pressures are not being adjusted on another TPM equipped vehicle within close proximity. Stray signals from other TPM equipped vehicles just driving by can be inadvertently learned. If any random horn chirps are heard from the vehicle while performing the learn procedure, most likely a stray sensor has been learned and the procedure will need to be cancelled and repeated. Under these circumstances, performing the TPM Learn Procedure away from other vehicles would be highly recommended.
NOTE: In the event a particular sensor activation does not cause the horn to chirp, it may be necessary to rotate the wheel valve stem to a different position due to the sensor signal is being blocked by another component.
NOTE: The learn mode can be enabled using either the keyless entry system OR the Driver Information Center (DIC).
  1. Turn ignition switch to the ON position.
  2. Apply parking brake.
  3. Set the tire pressure of all wheels to pressure specified on the tire and loading information label.
  4. On vehicles equipped with keyless entry, simultaneously press the keyless entry transmitters lock and unlock buttons until a double horn chirp sounds indicating the Learn Mode has been enabled. The left front turn signal will also be illuminated.
  5. On vehicles not equipped with keyless entry, press and release the driver information center (DIC) INFO button until the TIRE LEARN message appears on the DIC display. Press and hold the SET/RESET button until a double horn chirp sounds indicating the Learn Mode has been enabled. The left front turn signal will also be illuminated.
  6. Starting with the Left Front tire, hold the TPMS3 against the side wall of the tire, within 3 inches of the valve stem. Press TEST button and wait for a horn chirp. Once the horn chirp has sounded, the sensor information is learned and the turn signal in the next location to be learned will illuminate.
  7. Once the horn chirp has sounded, the sensor information is learned and the turn signal in the next location to be learned will illuminate.
  8. After the horn chirp has sounded and the right front turn signal is illuminated, repeat step 4 for the remaining 3 sensors in the following order: Right Front, Right Rear, Left Rear
  9. When the left rear sensor has been learned and a double horn chirp has sounded, the learn process is complete and the RCDLR exits the learn mode.
  10. Turn ignition OFF.
