Circuit/System Testing

Ignition OFF, disconnect the 22-way automatic transmission (AT) wiring harness connector (C2) at the TCM.
Ignition ON, at the TCM, test for 4.8-5.2 volts between the TFT sensor high signal circuit terminal 14 and low signal circuit terminal 13.
- If not within the specified range, replace the TCM, refer to TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL and TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE INSTALLATION .
Verify the scan tool TCM, Trans. Fluid Temp. parameter is less than 11 °C.
- If greater than the specified value, replace the TCM, refer to TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL and TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE INSTALLATION .
Install a 3A fused jumper wire between the TFT sensor high signal circuit terminal 14 and low signal circuit terminal 13. Verify the scan tool TCM, Trans. Fluid Temp. parameter is greater than 109 °C.
- If less than the specified value, replace the TCM, refer to TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL and TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE INSTALLATION .
Ignition OFF, on the AT harness, test for 200-8000 ohms between the TFT sensor high signal circuit terminal 14 and low signal circuit terminal 13.
- If not within the specified range, replace AT wiring harness, refer to WIRING HARNESS REMOVAL and WIRING HARNESS INSTALLATION .
- If all circuits test normal, test or replace the AT wiring harness, refer to WIRING HARNESS REMOVAL and WIRING HARNESS INSTALLATION .
