Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the driver information center (DIC) switch.
- Ignition OFF, test for less than 1 ohm between the low reference circuit terminal 1 and ground.
- If greater than the specified value, test the circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition OFF, test for less than 1 ohm between the ground circuit terminal 5 and ground.
- If greater than the specified value, test the circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition ON, test for B+ between the following DIC switch signal circuit and ground.
- DIC Switch Signal Circuit Terminal 2
- DIC Select Menu Switch Signal Terminal 3
- If less than the specified value, test the appropriate signal circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, test or replace the IPC.
- If greater than the specified value, test the appropriate signal circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, test or replace the IPC.
- Ignition ON, verify a test lamp illuminates between the appropriate DIC switch signal circuit and ground.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the appropriate signal circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the IPC.
- If all circuits test normal, test or replace the DIC switch.
