DTC Troubleshooting

DTC TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURES

Step Action YES NO
1 Was "Engine and Emission Control System" performed?  Go to Step 2. Go to ENGINE AND EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM CHECK .
2 Registration data check 
  1. Connect scan tool to DLC with ignition switch turned OFF.
  2. Turn ignition switch to ON position.
  3. Check registered VIN data referring to REGISTERED VIN DATA CHECK (EVAP LEAK CHECK MODEL) .

    Is registered VIN data correctly? 

 Go to Step 3. Resister correct VIN data to ECM referring to VIN REGISTRATION (EVAP LEAK CHECK MODEL) .
3 DTC recheck 
  1. Clear DTC referring to DTC CLEARANCE .
  2. Recheck DTC.

    Is DTC P0630 still indicated? 

 Check ECM power and ground circuits referring to ECM POWER AND GROUND CIRCUIT CHECK . If OK, substitute a known-good ECM and recheck. End.
