ABS (ESP®) Hydraulic Unit / Control Module Assembly Power and Ground Circuit Check: Troubleshooting

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Suzuki SX4. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

Step Action YES NO
Check fuse
Are main fuses and circuit fuses for ABS (ESP®) in good condition?
Go to Step 2. Replace fuse and check for short circuit to ground.
Check ABS (ESP®) control module power supply circuit
  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
  2. Disconnect ABS (ESP®) control module connector.
  3. Check for proper connection to ABS (ESP®) control module connector at terminals "E08-9", "E08-23", "E08-24", "E08-25" and "E08-26".
  4. If OK, then turn ignition switch to ON position and measure voltage between terminal "E08-9" and vehicle body ground.

Is it 10 - 14 V?
Go to Step 3. "GRN/ORN" circuit open.
Pump motor and solenoid valve power supply circuit
  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
  2. Measure voltage between each terminal of "E08-24", "E08-25" and vehicle body ground.

Are they 10 - 14 V?
Go to Step 4. "WHT/BLU" and/or "WHT/RED" circuit open.
Check ABS (ESP®) hydraulic unit / control module assembly ground circuit
  1. Measure resistance between each terminal of "E08-23", "E08-26" and vehicle body ground.

Is resistance less than 2 Ω?
ABS (ESP®) hydraulic unit / control module assembly power and ground circuits are in good condition. "BLK" circuit open or high resistance.
