Brake Pad: Testing and Inspection

Lining Inspection
1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
2. Remove the front wheels.
3. Visually check the linings for minimum thickness and wear.
4. Measure the thickness.
^ The minimum thickness of the inner or the outer pad is 7 mm (0.28 inch).
5. Install the brake pads in axle sets only.
6. Install the front wheels.
7. Lower the vehicle.
