Installation Procedure

  1. Using the DT-48392 with J 8092, install the right drive axle seal onto the transaxle.
  2. Install the right front wheel drive shaft. Refer to INSTALLATION PROCEDURE and INSTALLATION PROCEDURE .
  3. Lower the vehicle.
    NOTE: Dextron®III automatic transmission fluid is not compatible with this transaxle. If Dextron®III ATF is used, transaxle failure will result. This transaxle uses GM T-IV fluid GM P/N 88900925.
  4. Inspect the transaxle fluid level. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID CHECK .
