LIFTGATE COMPONENTS REFERENCE

Preliminary Procedures Remove the liftgate upper trim panel. Refer to LIFTGATE TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT (UPPER) and LIFTGATE TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT (LOWER) . Remove the rear liftgate struts. Refer to LIFTGATE STRUT REPLACEMENT .
1	Liftgate Hinge Bolts (Qty: 4) CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE . Tip: Mark the location of the liftgate hinges to the liftgate with a grease pencil. Tightening torque 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
2	Liftgate Assembly Disconnect the liftgate wiring connectors. Disconnect the rear washer hose. Pull the liftgate wiring grommet, the connectors and the rear washer hose out of the liftgate. Remove the liftgate from the vehicle with an assistant, and place the outside face down on a clean, padded surface. Transfer any parts as needed.
