CONDITION:
Oil Life Reset procedure in the Owners Manual and Service Manual does not work.
CAUSE:
Incorrect information was issued in the Owners Manual and Service Manual regarding Oil Life Resetting.
CORRECTION:
Use the procedure below to reset the oil life monitor.
Oil Life Reset Procedure
1. With ignition key ON engine OFF, press and release the "Vehicle Information button until "%XX OIL LIFE REMAINING is displayed on the "Driver Information Center" (DIC).
2. Press and hold the "Set/Reset button for up to 5 seconds until the DIC shows "100% OIL LIFE REMAINING"
3. If the number does not change to 100% repeat step 1 and 2.
