Synchronizers Cleaning and Inspection

Measure the clearance between synchronizer sleeve and shift fork and if the clearance exceeds the limit, replace the shift fork.

Specifications:

• The standard clearance between the sleeve and shift fork is 0.2-0.6 mm (0.008-0.024 in).
• The clearance limit between the sleeve and shift fork is 1.0 mm (0.039 in).
