Removal Procedure

Disconnect the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) connector (1).

CAUTION: In order to avoid being burned, do not service the exhaust system while it is still hot. Service the system when it is cool.

Remove the bolt and the speedometer driven gear assembly.
Remove the VSS (1) from the speedometer driven gear (2).
