Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution .

Disconnect the negative battery cable.

NOTE: Refer to Heated Oxygen and Oxygen Sensor Notice .

NOTE: Do not solder heated oxygen sensor wires. Soldering the wires will result in the loss of the air reference to the sensor. Refer to WIRING SYSTEMS AND POWER MANAGEMENT - CONNECTOR TERMINAL REPAIRS & IGNITION SWITCH TROUBLESHOOTING for proper wire and connection repair techniques.

Disconnect the electrical connector.
Remove the heated oxygen sensor 2 (HO2S2).
