Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution .

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
Remove the rear timing belt cover. Refer to Timing Belt Cover Replacement for the 1.6L (L91) engine.

Remove the coolant pump mounting bolts.
Remove the coolant pump.
Remove the seal ring from the coolant pump.
