Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution .

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the audio system. Refer to Radio Replacement (Notchback) or Radio Replacement (Hatchback) .
Remove the HVAC controller. Refer to Heater and Air Conditioning Control Replacement (Hatchback) or Heater and Air Conditioning Control Replacement (Notchback) .

Disconnect the heater/defrost cable eyelet from the post.
