Installation Procedure

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Install the exhaust manifold retaining nuts and tighten them in the sequence shown.
Tighten: Tighten the exhaust manifold retaining nuts 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

Install the auxiliary catalytic converter nuts to the exhaust manifold.
Tighten: Tighten the auxiliary catalytic converter-to-exhaust manifold nuts to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).

Install the exhaust manifold heat shield.
Install the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
Connect the pre-converter oxygen sensor connector.
Connect the negative battery cable.
