Exhaust Manifold Installation

Fig 1: Installing And Tightening Sequence Of Exhaust Manifold Retaining Nuts

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Install the exhaust manifold retaining nuts and tighten in the sequence shown.
Tighten: Tighten the exhaust manifold retaining nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

Install the exhaust manifold nuts to the catalytic converter.
Tighten: Tighten the exhaust manifold nuts to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).

Install the heat shield.
Tighten: Tighten the heat shield bolts to 13 N.m (10 lb ft).
Connect the oxygen sensor connector.
Connect the negative battery cable.
