Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution .
    Fig 1: View Of Engine Oil Temperature Harness Connector, Electrical Cable, Ground Bolt And Harness Clip

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector and clip around the starter.
  3. Remove the engine oil temperature harness connector (2).
  4. Remove the starter solenoid nut to disconnect the electrical cable (1).
  5. Remove the harness clip bolt to disconnect the harness clip (4).
  6. Remove the ground bolt (3).

  7. Remove the starter mounting bolts (1).
  8. Remove the starter assembly (2) from the engine.
