3	Disconnect the generator connector. Connect a 20-amp fused jumper to the charge indicator control circuit. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. Does the battery charge indicator illuminate?	Go to Step 4	Go to Step 6
4	Test the generator supply voltage circuit for an open. Refer to Circuit Testing or Wiring Repairs . Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 9	Go to Step 5
5	Replace the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement (1.2L SOHC) or Generator Replacement (1.4L/1.5L SOHC and 1.4L/1.6L DOHC) . Did you complete the replacement?	Go to Step 9	-
6	Inspect the charge indicator bulb and replace as necessary. Test the charge indicator supply voltage circuit for an open. Refer to Circuit Testing or Wiring Repairs . Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 9	Go to Step 7
