Check shift solenoid valve resistance
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
- Disconnect valve body harness connector (1) on transaxle.
- Check for proper connection to "BRN" and "BLK/YEL" terminals of valve body harness connector.
- Check resistance of shift solenoid valve.
Resistance of shift solenoid valve Between shift solenoid valve-A (No. 1) terminal (2) and vehicle body ground (4): 12 - 16 Ω at 20°C (68°F)
Between shift solenoid valve-B (No. 2) terminal (3) and vehicle body ground (4): 11 - 15 Ω at 20°C (68°F)

Check shift solenoid circuit for ground short valve circuit
- Disconnect TCM connectors.
- Check for proper connection to "C06-15" and "C06-16" terminals of TCM connector.
- If connections are OK, check continuity between "C06-15" or "C06-16" terminals of disconnected harness side TCM connector and ground.
Is continuity indicated? |
"BRN" or "BLK/YEL" circuit shorted to ground. |
Intermittent trouble or faulty TCM. Check for intermittent referring to INTERMITTENT AND POOR CONNECTION INSPECTION
. If OK, substitute a known-good TCM and recheck. |
