Exhaust Manifold Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the front exhaust pipe lower bracket bolts and the front exhaust pipe lower bracket.
  3. Remove the front exhaust pipe nuts.
  4. Remove the pup converter gaskets.

  5. Remove the front exhaust pipe-to-front muffler nuts.
  6. Remove the catalytic converter gasket.
  7. Detach the front exhaust pipe assembly from the rubber hanger.

  8. Disconnect the Oxygen Sensor (O2S) connectors. Refer to OXYGEN SENSOR (O2S) REMOVAL .
  9. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield.

  10. Remove the exhaust manifold retaining nuts and the exhaust manifolds.
  11. Remove the exhaust manifold gaskets.
