Steering Wheel Speed Sensor Removal and Installation: Removal

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the upper and the lower instrument trim panels. Refer to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER TRIM PANEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Disconnect the steering wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the intermediate shaft from the steering column to allow removal of the steering wheel speed sensor. Refer to INTERMEDIATE SHAFT AND DASH SEAL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the retaining screw from the steering wheel speed sensor.
- Remove the steering wheel speed sensor.
