Fuel Tank Removal and Installation: Installation

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2008 Suzuki Reno, 2008 Suzuki Forenza, 2007 Suzuki Reno, 2007 Suzuki Forenza, and 2006 Suzuki Reno. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Raise the fuel tank into position.
Install the fuel tank straps.
Install the fuel tank strap retaining nuts.
Tighten:

Tighten the fuel tank strap retaining nuts to 20 N.m (15 lb-ft).

Connect the fuel vapor line from the solenoid valve.

Install the parking brake cables support bracket.
Install the parking brake cables from the fuel tank.

Connect the fuel line.
Connect the electrical connector at the fuel pump assembly.

Install the fuel pump access cover.
Install the rear seat. Refer to REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

Connect the fuel line near the right front of the fuel tank.

Connect the fuel tank filler tube.
Install the fuel tank filler tube clamp at the fuel tank.

Install the front muffler. Refer to MUFFLER - FRONT REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Connect the negative battery cable.
Fill the fuel tank.
Perform a leak check of the fuel tank and the fuel line connections.
