EVAP Canister Removal and Installation: Removal
- Disconnect negative cable at battery.
- Hoist vehicle.
- Remove EVAP canister as follows.
- EVAP leak check model
- Remove EVAP canister bracket cover (1).
- Disconnect EVAP leak check module connector.
- Disconnect vapor control hose (2) from fuel tank and suction pipe No.1 (3) from suction pipe No.2 (10). For quick joint of hoses, disconnect it as follows:
- Remove mud or dust around joint by blowing compressed air, and push joint fully in arrow direction.
- Disconnect hose joint while joint lock is unlocked by pushing both sides of joint lock.
- Remove EVAP canister bracket (7) and cover (8) after removing bolts (4), (5) then (6).
- Disconnect purge pipe No.2 (9) from EVAP canister.
- Remove EVAP leak check module (11) referring to EVAP LEAK CHECK MODULE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION , if necessary.

- Non-EVAP-leak-check model
- Disconnect hoses (1) from EVAP canister (2).
- Remove EVAP canister bracket (3) with EVAP canister from vehicle body.
- Remove EVAP canister from EVAP canister bracket.
