Key Cylinder Removal

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the upper and the lower steering column cover panel by removing the screws.
- Remove the audio system trim plate and audio to allow enough working space for the removal of instrument cluster trim panel screws. Refer to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER TRIM PANEL REMOVAL .
- Remove the instrument panel under cover. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL REMOVAL .
- Remove the knee bolster. Refer to DRIVER'S SIDE KNEE BOLSTER REMOVAL .
- Remove the instrument cluster trim panel. Refer to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER TRIM PANEL REMOVAL .
- Remove the steering column jacket assembly securing bolts and nuts.
- Set the ignition key to ACC position.
- Remove the key cylinder by pushing the disassemble button and pulling out the key, at the same time.
