SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE: TAPPET SHIM THICKNESS CHANGES AND AVAILABILITY

CONDITION:
New shims with a pitch of 0.020mm (0.00079 in.) have been added to improve accuracy of valve clearance adjustment see Table 1. The old shims with a pitch of 0.025mm (0.00098 in.) will be phased out except for shims found on Table 2.

More precise valve clearance adjustment.

CORRECTION:
Please refer to the tables and attached service manual page when adjusting the valve clearance. Also attached are handy charts for recording and calculating valve clearances.
