CONDITION:
Beginning with the VINS listed above there has been a production change of the headlight units from the "early type (VOL) to the "late type (VOR)". This change requires a new headlight alignment procedure. These headlight unit types should not be mixed when replacement is required.
CAUSE:
The headlight beam of the early and late type headlight unit is different requiring a different aiming procedure.
CORRECTION:
Please note identification procedure below to identify which headlight unit applies to the vehicle being serviced. The headlight units should not be mixed, unless replaced as a set. By following the identification procedure the correct alignment procedure can be followed. Please add the attached service manual page 9B-9 to the appropriate section of your printed service manuals and disregard the old "Headlight Aiming Adjustment with Screen" section of the service manual.
