Side Air Bag (Inflator) Module Removal and Installation

REMOVAL
1. Disable air bag system. Refer to Disabling Air Bag System: Except Advanced Air Bag.
2. Remove side air bag (inflator) module cover (1).




3. Remove side air bag (inflator) module (2) from seat back (3).




4. Disconnect side air bag (inflator) module connector as shown in the figure.
a. Unlock lock button.
b. With lock button unlocked, disconnect connector.

INSTALLATION




1. Connect side air bag (inflator) module connector as shown in the figure.
a. Connect connector.
b. Lock connector with lock button.

2. Install side air bag (inflator) module as follows.
a. Hang claw (1) of side air bag (inflator) module on installation hole (2).
b. Tighten side air bag (inflator) module mounting bolt to specified torque.
c. Install side air bag (inflator) module cover.




Tightening torque
Side air bag (inflator) module mounting bolt a: 23 N.m (2.3 kg.m, 16.5 lb.ft)
