No Gear Shift to O/D: Troubleshooting

WARNING:

When performing a road test, select a place where there is no traffic or possibility of a traffic accident and be very careful during testing to avoid occurrence of an accident.
Road test should be carried out with 2 persons, a driver and tester, on a level road.

TROUBLESHOOTING CHART

1	Was "A/T System Check" performed?	Go to Step 2.	Go to A/T SYSTEM CHECK .
2	Check DTC Is DTC P0743 detected?	Perform DTC test.	Go to Step 3.
3	Perform running test under the following conditions and check voltage between terminal "G08-4" of TCM connector and ground, terminal "G08-3" of TCM connector and ground. O/D off switch is OFF ("O/D OFF" lamp OFF.) Selector lever is in "D" range. Engine coolant temperature is normal operating temperature. Cruise control switch is turned OFF. Drive vehicle with 4th gear condition referring to AUTOMATIC GEAR SHIFT TABLE (FOR 2WD MODEL) or AUTOMATIC GEAR SHIFT TABLE (FOR 4WD MODEL) . Is each terminal voltage 0 - 2 V?	Faulty shift solenoid valve, circuit or transaxle.	"GRY" or "GRN/ORN" circuit shorted to power circuit. If wire is OK, go to Step 4.
4	"O/D" off switch signal inspection With ignition switch ON, check voltage between terminal "G07-3" of TCM connector and ground. O/D off switch specification Released: 10 - 14 V Pressed: 0 - 2 V Is check result as specified?	Substitute a Known-good TCM and recheck.	Faulty O/D off switch or its circuit. If OK, substitute a know-good TCM and recheck.
