Rear Suspension Frame Removal and Installation (4WD Model): Installation

Reference: REAR SUSPENSION FRAME, BUSHING AND PAD CHECK 

  1. Install suspension frame to vehicle body and tighten suspension frame bolts to specified torque.

    Tightening torque 

    Suspension frame mounting bolt a: 90 N.m (9.0 kg-m, 65.0 lb-ft)

  2. Install differential mounting, mounting bracket and differential to suspension frame.

    Tighten each bolt to specified torque. Refer to REAR DIFFERENTIAL FRONT MOUNTING REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION and REAR DIFFERENTIAL REAR MOUNTING REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Connect No.2 propeller shaft to differential aligning match marks on flanges. Tighten bolts and nuts to specified torque. Refer to PROPELLER SHAFT REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  4. Install right and left drive shafts. Refer to REAR DRIVE SHAFT REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION: REAR .
  5. Install control rods. Refer to CONTROL ROD REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  6. Install stabilizer bar. Refer to FRONT STABILIZER BAR AND/OR BUSHINGS REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  7. Install muffler. Refer to EXHAUST PIPE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  8. Fill differential oil. Refer to REAR DIFFERENTIAL OIL CHANGE .
  9. Install wheels and tighten wheel nuts to specified torque.

    Tightening torque 

    Wheel nut: 85 N.m (8.5 kg-m, 61.5 lb-ft)
