Rear Stabilizer Bar and/or Bushings Removal and Installation: Installation

Reference: REAR STABILIZER BAR, BUSHING AND/OR JOINT CHECK 

  1. Loosely assemble all components in reverse order of removal.
  2. With painted marks (2) on stabilizer bar and end face of mount bushings (1) aligned, tighten stabilizer bar bracket bolts temporarily by hand at this step.
    NOTE: If painted mark has faded out, align the vehicle center and the center of stabilizer bar.
  3. Lower hoist.
  4. Tighten each bolt and nut to specified torque. When tightening, hold stud with wrench.

    Tightening torque 

    Stabilizer bar bracket bolt a: 23 N.m (2.3 kg-m, 17.0 lb-ft) 

    Stabilizer joint nut b: 50 N.m (5.0 kg-m, 36.5 lb-ft)
