DTC DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLESHOOTING CHART

1	Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?	Go to Step 2.	Go to ENGINE AND EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM CHECK
2	EVAP leak detecting pump and its circuit check Check operating sound of EVAP leak detecting pump referring to "EVAP LEAK DETECTING PUMP CIRCUIT CHECK " under EVAP LEAK CHECK MODULE AND ITS CIRCUIT INSPECTION . Is operating sound heard?	Go to Step 5.	Go to Step 3.
3	EVAP leak detecting pump ground circuit check Disconnect EVAP leak check module coupler with ignition switch turned OFF. Check for proper connection to EVAP leak check module coupler at "GRY/BLU" and "BLK/GRN" wire terminals. Measure resistance between "BLK/GRN" wire terminal of EVAP leak check module coupler and vehicle body ground. Is resistance below 5 Ω?	Go to Step 4.	"BLK/GRN" wire is open or high resistance circuit.
4	EVAP leak detecting pump power supply circuit check When EVAP leak detecting pump is operated by "MISC TEST" of scan tool, measure voltage between "GRY/BLU" wire terminal of EVAP leak check module coupler and vehicle body ground. Is voltage 10 - 14 V?	Go to Step 5.	"GRY/BLU" wire circuit is open, shorted to ground or poor connection at "C51-3-7" terminal.
5	EVAP leak detecting pump check Check EVAP leak detecting pump for operation referring to "EVAP LEAK DETECTING PUMP CHECK " under EVAP LEAK CHECK MODULE INSPECTION . Is check result satisfactory?	Substitute a known-good ECM and recheck.	Replace EVAP leak check module.
