DTC TROUBLESHOOTING CHART

1 Did you perform the ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD II) SYSTEM CHECK ? - Go to Step 2. Go to ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD II) SYSTEM CHECK .

  1. Switch the ignition OFF for 30 seconds.
  2. Start the engine.
  3. Allow the engine to reach the normal operating temperature.
  4. Increase the engine speed to 2,000 rpm for 10 seconds.

Did the DTC fail this ignition?		 - Go to Step 3. Go to DTC P0038: HO2S Heater Control Circuit High Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2 .
3 Check the HO2S1 wiring connectors for a swapped connector fault condition.
Did you find and correct the condition?		 - Go to Step 5. Go to Step 4.
4 Are DTCs relating to other circuits of the HO2S also set? - Go to applicable DTC Table . Go to DTC P0038: HO2S Heater Control Circuit High Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2 .

  1. Clear the DTCs with a scan tool.
  2. Turn the ignition OFF for 30 seconds.
  3. Start the engine.
  4. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Setting the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records.

Did the DTC fail this ignition?		 - Go to Step 2. Go to Step 6.
6 Check if any additional DTCs are set.
Are there any DTCs that have not been diagnosed?		 - Go to applicable DTC Table . System OK
