Heating Mat Removal (Driver Seat Only)
WARNING:
If the seat cushion or seatback foam is damaged when you remove the heater element, replace the seat cushion or seatback in order to prevent personal injury.

On the Passenger Seat Cushion
Replace the passenger seat cushion as complete assembly to prevent possible injury to the occupant. All the components in the service kit are assembled and calibrated as a unit. Using only some of the components in the service kit will cause the occupants classification system to operate improperly.

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Disconnect the airbag and heating mat wiring harness.
- Remove the seatback and/or cushion. Refer to Front Seatback Removal and Front Seat Cushion Removal .
- Remove the hog rings from the seatback and/or cushion.
- Remove the seat cover from the seatback and/or the cushion.
- Peel the heating mat off of the cushion.
