Knuckle and Hub Installation

Install the hub bolts.
Tighten:

Tighten the hub bolts to 95 N.m (70 lb-ft).
Install the splash shield and front strut bolts.
Tighten:

Tighten the splash shield bolts to 10 N.m (7 lb-ft).
Install the detent screw and disc.
Tighten:

Tighten the detent screw to 5 N.m (3.5 lb-ft).
Install the brake caliper. Refer to CALIPER INSTALLATION .

Install the control arm ball joint bolt.
Tighten:

Tighten the control arm ball joint bolt to 110 N.m (81 lb-ft).

Install the outer tie rod bolt.
Tighten:

Tighten the outer tie rod bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb-ft).

Install the washer and the caulking nut onto the axle shaft.
Tighten:

Tighten the caulking nut onto the axle shaft to 320 N.m (236 lb-ft).
Bleed the air out of the brake system. Refer to MANUAL BLEEDING THE BRAKES .
