TEST PROCEDURE - SERIAL COMMUNICATION PROBLEM BETWEEN OCM AND SDM

Is DTC B1211 indicated? |
Go to Step 2. | Intermittent trouble. Check for intermittent trouble referring to INSPECTION OF INTERMITTENT AND POOR CONNECTIONS . |

Is each measured resistance 1 Ω or less? |
Go to Step 3. | "RED" circuit (in instrument panel and floor harness), "BLU/RED" circuit (in passenger seat harness), "RED/WHT" circuit (in instrument panel and floor harness) or "BLK" circuit (in passenger seat harness) shorted to ground. |

With ignition switch ON, is each measured value 1 V or less? |
Go to Step 4. | "RED" circuit (in instrument panel and floor harness), "BLU/RED" circuit (in passenger seat harness), "RED/WHT" circuit (in instrument panel and floor harness) or "BLK" circuit (in passenger seat harness) shorted to power supply circuit. |

Go to Step 3. | High resistance or open wire in "RED" circuit (in instrument panel and floor harness), "BLU/RED" circuit (in passenger seat harness), "RED/WHT" circuit (in instrument panel and floor harness) or "BLK" circuit (in passenger seat harness). |
NOTE:
Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.
- Reconnect all air bag system components and ensure all components are properly mounted.
- Clear DTCs referring to DTC CLEARANCE FOR SDM and DTC CLEARANCE FOR OCM , if any.
- Repeat AIR BAG DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK to confirm that the trouble has been corrected.
- Perform occupant classification system rezeroing referring to OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM REZEROING .
- Perform occupant classification system sensitivity check referring to OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM SENSITIVITY CHECK after system rezeroing.
