DTC Troubleshooting

TEST PROCEDURE - ILLUMINATION CONTROL INPUT CIRCUIT OPEN

Step Action YES NO
  1. Disconnect illumination controller coupler from illumination controller.
  2. Check illumination controller referring to ILLUMINATION CONTROLLER INSPECTION .

Is it good condition? 
Go to Step 2. Replace illumination controller.
  1. With ignition switch ON, measure voltage between "RED/GRN" circuit terminal of illumination controller coupler and body ground.

Is voltage 4.5 - 5.5 V? 
Go to Step 3. "RED/GRN" circuit open or short to ground. If wire and connection are OK, substitute a known-good BCM and recheck.
  1. Measure resistance between illumination controller coupler and "G53-13" terminal of BCM connector.

Is resistance infinity? 
"GRY/YEL" wire open. Replace BCM.
