DTC Troubleshooting

DTC DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLESHOOTING CHART

Step Action YES NO
Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?  Go to Step 2. Go to ENGINE AND EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM CHECK .
Check IAT sensor for performance 
  1. Disconnect connector from IAT sensor with ignition switch turned OFF.
  2. Check for poor connection to IAT sensor at all terminals.
  3. If OK, check IAT sensor for performance referring to INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE (IAT) SENSOR INSPECTION .

Is check result satisfactory? 
Go to Step 3. Replace IAT Sensor.
Check "LT BLU" and "GRY/YEL" wires and connections for high resistance 
  1. Remove ECM cover and disconnect connectors form ECM.
  2. Check for poor connection to ECM at applicable terminals.
  3. If OK, check "LT BLU" and "GRY/YEL" wires for excessive resistance.

Are wires and connections in good condition? 
Substitute a known-good ECM and recheck. Repair or replace.
