Transfer Shift Actuator Motor

  1. Connect battery positive (+) and negative (-) terminals to transfer shift actuator (1) terminals and check its operation as follows.

    If it does not operate as specified, replace transfer shift actuator (1).

    Step Terminal Operation
    "a" "b"
    1 (-) (+) Shift cam (2) turns clockwise
    2 (+) (-) Shift cam (2) turns counterclockwise

  2. Connect battery and ammeter to transfer shift actuator (1) as shown. Check that transfer shift actuator motor rotates smoothly and ammeter indicates specified current.

    If measured current is out of specification, replace transfer shift actuator (1).

    Transfer shift actuator motor specified current (no load performance test): 

    : 2.5 A max. at 12 V
