2WD/4WD Indicator Flashes Continuously while Ignition Switch is ON: Troubleshooting

TROUBLESHOOTING CHART

Step Action YES NO
Is diagnosis switch terminal connected to ground via service wire?  Go to Step 3. Go to Step 2.
Diagnosis connector circuit check 
  1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect 4WD control module connector.
  3. Measure resistance between "PNK" wire of diagnosis connector and ground.

Is resistance 1MΩ or more? 
Substitute a known-good 4WD control module and recheck. "PNK" wire shorted to ground.
DTC check 
  1. Turn ignition switch ON.

Does flashing of 4WD indicator indicate DTC? 
Go to applicable DTC flow table. Substitute a known-good 4WD control module and recheck.
